    Job Summary:


    Reporting to the Controller, the Payroll Administrator is responsible for the supervision of the day-to-day processing of accurate and timely payroll infromation, while ensuring compliance with contractual, legislative and organizational requirements. The successful incumbent will also ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoices and any other accounting transactions related to A/R management. This position monitors quality assurance and performs other duties as required.
    The Payroll Administrator performs payroll duties for all Covenant Care sites and all Covenant Living Sites.



    • • Completion of a high school diploma required
      • Completion of a post-secondary accounting Diploma, or recognized equivalent required; university degree with major in Commerce / Business considered an asset
      • Minimum five (5) years progressive payroll experience in an automated infromation system environment and multiple affliation setting required
      • Extensive and varied knowledge of computer software programs which include Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Quickbooks, internet and desktop publishing programs required
      • Extensive knowledge and accurate application of current office practices, procedures and equipment required
      • Ability to set priorities, self motivated, able to work under pressure and deal with people in a conflict situation.
      • Flexible, self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as working with staff, public and outside agencies
      • Proficient in handling multiple priorities and adapting quickly to an ever changing environment
      • Knowledge of and ability to make decisions conforming to established policies and procedures
      • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills
      • Must possess a high level of tact, diplomacy and confidentiality
