    Position Summary

    The Clinical Leader reports to the Site Leader and is accountable for all aspects of the resident’s physical wellbeing. This role works collaboratively with the AHS Case Manager, the LPNs’ and HCA’s and includes collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, to ensure the effective coordination of resident health promotion and restorative care.


    The Clinical Leader plans and implements education/training to site employees.  This includes both mandatory education and ongoing training to ensure that staff have the skill set to deliver safe effective and efficient care to the resident.



    • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (or equivalent combination of experience and education) required
    • Active license and registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) required
    • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (Level C) required
    • Minimum of three (3) -  five (5) years supervisory or management experience required
    • Experience in palliative care/hospice required
    • Ability to manage hospice independently
    • Ability to adapt to changing environment related to the nature of the resident or resident population and complexity of care
    • Meets Occupational Health and Safety standards as per current policy
    • Financial management skills
