    Job Summary:

    Reporting to the Resident Experience Director, the Site Leader is responsible for the overall management of Human, Financial, and Physical Resources. The successful incumbent is accountable in providing leadership to the site, including care and support services in alignment with the mission and values of Covenant Care.  As a member of the leadership team, the Site Leader will demonstrate a participative and collaborative approach to management, empower and support all levels of staff, and ensure operations are aligned with the overall organizational strategic direction. Responsibilities include managing and reporting accountabilities for personnel, equipment, operating budget and in performance management of staff. The Site Leader will develop an effective system to manage and report recruitment, retention and identify staff learning needs to produce a strong program delivery.  In addition, the role will involve participation in innovative care programs congruent to the needs of residents, overseeing operational system and facilities change management initiatives.  The Site Leader will possess the ability to build strong interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationships in their engagement with key stakeholders in representing the interests of Covenant Care.

     

     

    Qualifications:

    • Undergraduate degree in healthcare, business, or related field required
    • Master's Degree in health, business, or management preferred
    • A minimum of 5 - 10 years of management experience in a health related environment, preferably in Continuing Care and/or Supportive Living. A combination of education and experience may be considered
    • Candidate must possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (travel between the Covenant Care sites is required)
    • The ability to engage staff and community stakeholders
    • Ability to effectively monitor and investigate incident reports and respond to resident/family inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
    • Produces quality reporting, improvement and audit requirements leading to sound recommendations
    • Capability to act as a mentor and role model to staff in accordance with Covenant Care policies and principles
    • Possesses strong negotiating skills and ability to maintain working knowledge of contracts to participate in labour contract negotiations as required
    • Thorough working knowledge of computer software applications including Microsoft Office
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
